We have an Important Announcement for You….

Dear Supporters, Colleagues, Family and Friends:

With every ending, therein lies a new beginning; this sentiment could not be more fitting as we announce that B. Daniel Dillard, the founding Executive Director/CEO of the non-profit organization, Burn Prevention Network (BPN), will retire on April 30, 2022, after serving in this position for over 36 years. During that tenure, Dillard has built the BPN from a fledgling organization to one of the most respected burn safety/prevention organizations in North America.

Dan has dedicated 36 fruitful years to faithfully leading the Burn Prevention Network. His steadfast service in furthering the mission of the organization is evident in the insurmountable lives that the Burn Prevention Network has touched. We can’t neglect to mention that his warm personality made him a joy to work with in the office (or out on the golf course)!

Among the most notable accomplishments of Dillard’s career include the establishment of multiple collaborative service partnerships with organizations ranging from the Lehigh Valley Health Network, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, over 350 fire/EMS organizations, over 900 primary and middle schools and numerous businesses and corporations.

Dillard’s career influence has extended well beyond eastern Pennsylvania. He has served as the National Chairperson of the American Burn Association Burn Prevention Committee, the President of the Federation of Burn Foundations of North America and has led several national multi-organizational projects for the International Association of Fire Fighters, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, and the American Burn Association.

Under Dan Dillard’s leadership, the BPN has developed a full portfolio of targeted fire & burn safety interventions targeted at high risk/high incidence populations that reach over 1M persons per year. The BPN has also developed a series of burn survivor support services to include Camp Susquehanna for children who have been seriously burned.

Dan Dillard is married to Malia T. Dillard and together they have 7 children and 16 grandchildren. Dan and his wife reside in Bethlehem, PA.

We all wish Dan a happy, healthy and long retirement; he has undoubtedly earned it!

With this being said, we are elated to announce that Corissa Rolón, MA CFRE, has joined the Burn Prevention Network as our new Executive Director/CEO!

Cori is a proven non-profit leader who has a 20+ year history of working with top non-profits such as United Way, Meals on Wheels and Casa Guadalupe Center. She holds a B.S.B.A from Kutztown University in Business Administration, a M.A. from Lehigh University in Sociology, and is a Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE). She has led teams to win several national awards including the United Way Worldwide Center of Excellence Award for fundraising and the Common Good award for excellence in program development and implementation. It is an honor to warmly welcome such an exceptional leader who will continue to guide the organization toward our mission of burn injury prevention and advocacy for the burn survivor community.

With Cori at the helm, the Burn Prevention Network will continue to make waves, change lives, and strive toward a World Without Burns.

Welcome, Cori!

Sincerely,

The BPN Team
