Outpouring of Support for Camp Susquehanna

Burn Prevention Network staff, volunteers, campers, and their families are BLOWN AWAY by the outpouring of support of Camp Susquehanna, a program of the Burn Prevention Network which provides in-person summer camp and year-round activities for kids who have been seriously burned. Burn Prevention Network offers this camp experience to children and their families at no cost to the families, but we cannot do it without the help of generous supporters like you.

This August, three anonymous donors decided to honor Jenn Nagle’s birthday on August 24th by offering to match donations to her fund for the month of August dollar for dollar up to $10K, allowing donors to effectively double their donations. The community rose to the challenge and surpassed the goal, raising $11,997! With the $10k match and the dollars previously donated to the fund, the Jenn Nagle Memorial Camp Susquehanna fund now has $33,129.04! This amount will remain in the fund for perpetuity and each year, the interest on the fund will go to the annual budget for Camp Susquehanna to ensure that Camp Susquehanna can continue to provide its life-changing experience to children for years to come.

Jenn Nagle was a dedicated burn nurse and a cherished friend who unexpectedly passed away in 2023. For over 20 years, Jenn devoted her life to supporting burn survivors, working as an RN at Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Walter J. and June H. Okunski Burn Recovery Center and volunteering tirelessly for Burn Prevention Network’s Camp Susquehanna—a camp for young burn survivors. Jenn was known for her compassion, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to others. She was a fierce advocate for burn survivors and a loving, empathetic supporter to many. In her honor, Jenn’s family established the Jenn Nagle Memorial Camp Susquehanna Fund to honor her legacy. You may make a tax-deductible donation to this fund at any time here.
